Corporate Culture
Corporate culture is basically the culture of the company. It can be either serious or playful or fun or interesting and many more. The culture of Razer company is a mixture of a play culture and a serious culture. Play culture is like the Google company whereby employees can play computer games when they are free during work times. When it comes to serious culture, the discussion of the ideas and creating the product might bring in stress and pressure to the employees because ideas are limited. Razer company is as famous as Google company that's why the play culture can play a role to make employees be motivated and enjoy their work.

Motivation

Motivation helps employees to enjoy their work and also to prevent them from getting bored and leave the company. Every company have to motivate their employees or else they won't have an idea why do they have to work hard for a company.Things like bonuses, non-financial benefits can motivate employees.



In the video above, it will show that how the company started and his philosophy of his business. To motivate his employees, he says that since their company has chose to do gaming so they have to be passionate about it therefore it helps them to gain interest and further improve it so on and so fourth. Also employees have to do their part as well like being creative. A product idea comes from individual employees or a combination of ideas but creating the product requires teamwork to do so. If I am one of the employees, I would be motivated because I can enjoy myself at work and bring up further ideas to improve how we play computer games.

Recruitment

Recruitment
To enter companies, recruitment is made by the company through advertisements in medias or in the newspapers. To enter a company, you have to meet the requirements the company gives or else they will not recruit you.

To join Razer, we have to meet up with their requirements. Razer requirements are:
  • 2 years of relevant experience required.
  • Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Good negotiating/problem-solving skills
  • Proactive communicator with excellent oral and written communication skills utilizing the English language
  • Solid follow-up skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
I think that the requirements are fair because employees have to master some IT skills before joining the company. If I would have a chance to join the Razer company, I would definitely choose to join because I am interested in computer games and their gaming gadgets. Not only that, I could improve the customer's satisfaction and also mine.

Organizational Structure
What is organizational structure? Organizational structure in a company is the determination of how roles, responsibilities are assigned and controlled. There are many types of organizational structures like, functional organizational structure, flat organizational structure, divisional organizational structure and matrix organizational structure.












Razer company has a flat organizational structure whereby the employees always have the chance to interact with the managers on a daily basis. The better products the employees produced, the better payment the employees get. So all the hard work that employees put in will be worth it in the end. In my opinion, this is a good company because more new ideas will be put up and the boss will definitely feel satisfied with the employees. If I am in charge of the company, I will only change a rule in the company which is to at least wear clothes to work. Min Liang said he doesn't mind if naked employees come to the company to work but I do mind about this as well as for the sake of other employees. This organizational structure can influence other big companies to be more relaxing for the employees so they will be more creative without having stress stuck to their heads.

Leaders are normally made not born. People can't be born to be the chosen leader immediately, leaders have to be voted or volunteer for themselves therefore they are made.

Tan Min Liang (陈民亮), he is the co-founder, CEO and creative director of the gaming company called Razer. He started the company with his partner, Robert Krakoff by creating their first gaming mouse called Boomslang. Razer company is famouse because they make gaming gadgets like laptops, mouse, keyboards and consoles. The leadership style that the company follows is Laissez Faire just like the Google company. His company motto is 'For Gamers, By Gamers'. I personally like this company because I like computer gaming as well.
